Dear "Friends of Red Cross",

Thank you for your positive response to our "Future Climate Act Today" call earlier this year. Your generous donations to the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) total nearly HK$400,000, allowing us to continue various disaster relief programs that bring hope to vulnerable groups affected by climate-related disasters. Last year’s donations have been allocated to support flood relief programs in Vietnam and Bangladesh.

Hong Kong is not immune to climate change. Extreme weather events have wreaked havoc in the city, and low-lying coastal areas in Hong Kong are vulnerable to natural disasters. To help residents in the high-risk areas know more about how to prevent and prepare for emergencies during disasters, the HKRC often organizes various events such as home visits, talks and fun days.

Let's look at how the HKRC helps elderlies living in Tai O prepare for natural disasters.

For over 70 years, the HKRC grew with Hong Kong and is committed to responding to social needs throughout different eras. We sincerely invite you to participate in the "Build HUMANITY Together" Interactive Exhibition, which will be held next week, to commemorate the collective footsteps of the HKRC and Hongkongers through changing times.

Also, you will be receiving the "Friends of the Red Cross" electronic membership card, and the official donation receipt for 2020/21 will be mailed to you. If you have not received the receipt by the end of May, please contact us at +852 2802 0016.

Wish you and your family safety and good health!
