A simple act of kindness may seem insignificant, but if everyone – you and I, he and she – in different positions do our best in our respective fields and support humanitarian work, it can help those in need in society.
The Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) resumed the territory-wide Flag Day last Wednesday (19th July), through four flags representing the key services of the HKRC, we encourage the public to take care of themselves and those in need to embody the humanitarian spirit of helping others in our daily lives. Thanks to the active participation of our donors, the funds will be used to sustain and develop HKRC’s humanitarian services, such as first aid service, community care service, volunteer and youth development.
Never underestimate the power of every ordinary step. When everyone in the community is willing to take an extra step to lend a helping hand to those in need, the contagious effect can attract more people to support humanitarian work. Let’s strengthen humanitarian forces and benefit more people by joining hands together.
