With your selfless dedication

the local vulnerable groups could beat the COVID-19

Dear Valued Donor:

In response to the evolving situation with COVID-19, we issued an emergency appeal in April 2020. The widespread support we received has enabled us to provide immediate support to vulnerable groups to fight against the virus. We are currently providing personal and home anti-epidemic supplies to low-income families and homeless individuals, as well as psychological support and health education in 8 districts, including Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, North District, Yau Tsim Mong, Tuen Mun, Wong Tai Sin, Yuen Long and Kwai Tsing. These measures are benefiting more than 150,000 local vulnerable persons who are suffering in this outbreak.

At the same time, we will provide medium and long-term recovery and disaster preparedness plans for local communities, which not only strengthens the ability of vulnerable groups to cope with disasters, but can also reduce the impact of infectious diseases in the long run. Collaborating with schools and our community partners to provide online learning resources and epidemic prevention knowledge to students, is also part of our plans to enhance the capabilities of our community in confronting epidemics.

Homeless during the Pandemic – the group being forgotten
"Places we used to go are all closed. Food and accommodation are less accessible, not to mention anti-pandemic supplies. The worst would be those unfriendly looks other people gave us." a homeless man said.
Story Sharing
Home safety is particularly important when fighting against the virus. The next donor gathering will be held using ZOOM video conferencing, so that you can learn home safety tips and basic first aid techniques to help others, comfortably at your own home. (Language: Cantonese)
