A lot of people might agree that Hong Kong is a rather blessed city compared with many other places in the world. We demonstrated our ability in preparing and resisting "Mangkgut", the super typhoon that hit Hong Kong earlier in September. Yet, with no difference to the rest of the world, we are now all facing extreme weather due to global climate change, in addition to local urban emergencies such as fire, traffic accidents etc. We do not have extraordinary power to control disasters happening. Yet enhancing resilience knowledge and skills on emergency response and preparedness can always lower the damage and loss of human lives and property.
Your sustaining donation enable us to plan ahead for providing different kind of education activities and services, which would promote knowledge and raise the awareness on disaster preparedness to the public for strengthening community resilience.
